This video is meant to show you how to create the illusion of full, plump lips, without using a lip-plumping product. (Lip plumpers are usually just thick glosses with ingredients to make your lips tingle) The idea is to make your lips look largest in their center. The darker lipliner (should be 1-2 shades darker than the lipstick color) should be applied to the very outline of your lips - this technique makes your lips stand out, but also creates a slight shadow effect at the edges, making the lips look even more full in the center.
This technique could be used for any lip color! I am showing nude, because nude is a particularly difficult shade to pull off. Using this technique with nude lipsticks keeps you from looking washed out!
