Hey Guys,
This is a quick tutorial on how to foil loose pigments. A Beautylish follower of mine asked me to do this tutorial and here it is!
For those of you unfamiliar to foiling it is a technique used by makeup artist to create a beautiful thin layer of loose eyeshadow pigment, that resembles a sheet of foil - if done correctly. I've watched so many videos on YouTube of foiling demonstrations and while there are many correct ones, there seems to be a big common misconception around the technique.
The traditional way to foil is mixing pigment and a mixing medium (water, pigment solvent) to create a paste and then applying it. I have often seen people dipping their brush in water, ten in pigment and then applying. While this gives a similar look it does not have the same lasting power or sheet like appearance. This technique is called, "wet application". It is not incorrect by any means, but rathe r a mislabeled technique.
Thanks for watching! Like and Subscribe to see more videos, and comment below with any comments, requests or suggestions.
Have a great week and bundle of for you East Coast folks, gonna be a cold one! Keep practicing and stay beautiful!

Thank you for the video. I do the same technique when I paint on cakes, but never thought of doing it with my makeup until now.
