The inspiration for this bag was my Cinderella Box bag and my Vintage Lunchbox bag. I wanted to design a bag that was unlike any of the other I’ve designed. I used junkyard pieces and scraps of jewelry to create this beauty. I introduce you to the Junkyard Trunk Bag.

Similar trunk bags retail for $5000+. I wanted to challenge my creative abilities by attempting my hand at recreating a similar bag with my own spin. I’ve yet to see another bag like it.

This does not look like a $18 bag. This bag looks like it’s worth 1000s. The Louis Vuitton trunk bags will run you from $5,000-- for a bag collector, price is no object. You decide what fits your budget.

TIP: Always take the measurements of the bag into account when buying charms for your project. You want to make sure that all items will fit. Be careful handling your embellished bag, these are showpieces and are to be handled with care.
Also, if you’re embellishing the back of your bag, make sure you don’t use charms that will snag on your clothes especially if you will be wearing it as a cross-body.
