Does the instyler straightener work?

I actually used to use one, and I actually liked it! I didn't take care of it and broke it while travelling, so I haven't used one in a while. I never used it for curls, but I liked it for straightening my hair. Since it doesn't clamp your hair between two hot plates, it kind of brushes it through on one side and heats with a plate on the other, I feel like I didn't accidentally make any dents in my hair and I feel like it gave me more of a naturally straight look with volume as opposed to an obvious straight iron look. I used to have fairly straight hair, but after over processing it, it became wavy and curly and kinda frizzy-I feel like it would work best on straighter hair or less frizzy hair since its not directly applying tons of heat, but it did a good enough job of flattening my frizzies in my weird curly and wavy textured hair. I think it would be hard to get a super pin straight look with one, but I like the more "blown out" results I could achieve with the instyler!
