Thank you for your responses, I'm so clueless, I just assumed that organic would be better. I will definitely check out Kitty K's blog, it sounds like something I'd like. I'll also do some research on ingredients and see what I can find out. Thank you so much for the help!

There really isn't such a thing as organic and natural skincare. Unless you use nothing but unrefined oils or stuff like oatmeal and fruit or teas to make skincare for yourself. Kitty K on here does that, I would look up her profile and check out her blog which she probably has a link to on her page.
Chemicals are in everything though, and not all of them are harsh. Everything on earth has a chemical composition and a chemical name, even natural ingredients. Chemicals are also natural, they occur in nature, so they are a part of it as well. Just because something is a chemical or has a chemical name we can't pronounce doesn't mean it's bad for us or harsh on the skin. Some can be, yes, but natural ingredients can be just as harsh as chemicals, sometimes even more so because there's a huge misconception that everything natural is good. People believe it and then go and slather a honey mask on their face only to have a huge allergic reaction. Natural doesn't always mean good. Lots of people have sensitivities to many natural ingredients such as cinnamon, honey, lavender, peppermint, lemon, etc. They are very harsh and irritating if not diluted properly, but the whole natural thing keeps getting pushed on us so people assume it's fine to use any random thing that says natural on the package or that they can find in their kitchen or pantry.
What products are you using currently for your whole routine? There may just be one or two ingredients they have in common that you're sensitive to. You may not have to switch everything completely. Using products for sensitive skin will help, as well as avoiding fragrance and alcohol in products. Those there are good examples of chemicals that actually ARE bad for us. And even then they aren't toxic, just irritating to the skin.

IMO organic products aren't always best. I've seen ppl with trashed hair and skin that only use organic products. Don't fall for product marketing and do research to find products with quality ingredients. If it's organic and quality than consider it a plus!!

Hey,
Ok, so I'm looking to switch my skin care products, because I don't think I'm using the right stuff for me. I'd like to switch to organic and natural stuff without harsh chemicals, but I am totally clueless and don't know where to start. :(
Anyway, I think I have combo skin. My main concerns are redness, oily T-zone and acne in my chin area.
Any recommendations?
Thank you so much!
