Girl I feel you. I'd much rather wear converse skinnies and a band tee. But sometimes you just have to make yourself step out of that comfort zone because you're beautiful and I believe anyone can rock just about anything if they wear it with confidence :)

Honestly, you just have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. if you want to wear skirts & shorts, then wear them! you definitely don't look like a man ;D
I used to dress kinda "skater" I guess; skinny jeans, tank tops, hoodies, high-tops.. when I decided to change styles, I felt awkward & uncomfortable as well, but just rock them like you would your normal clothes. soon it won't even phase you, & you'll be feeling way more confident!
hope I could help! xx

Take a girly bubble bath with candles, shave your legs and moisturise. Cry over a girly chick flick. Then just go for it when you're in the mood. Maybe trying some girly makeup and you'll really feel feminine. Just think what a girly girl would wear and try to imitate it without losing yourself in the process

Fake it till you make it! When you get dressed, check yourself once over to make sure everything is in place and then don't go back to the mirror. Then imagine your favorite feminine character (from a movie/show/book) and walk like her, or at least imagine yourself doing so. Imagine yourself as you doing all those things that she does so gracefully. soon you'll start to feel like her thus making you feel super girly :) good luck!

Pffft. I'm not the one to ask because I am not girly at all. Nothing wrong with that. I wear shorts but I hateeee my legs. But I don't care what anyone else thinks. I don't do it for them anyway. I feel like a man to but I know I'm not. I've been called a man and it tore me down but I got right back up and held up my middle fingers. But if you really want to, get your nails, hair and makeup done. Buy some jewelry. Find something you like, try it on and if you like it, get it. Just look at yourself at a glance and don't keep staring at yourself because you'll start to not like it.

Ashley you are pretty! I agree with all the ladies on their advice. Definitely self tanner will help on your confidence in wearing skirts and dresses, if you think you are too pale to show your skin. I can't wait till I take the time to self tan so I can confidently wear them too! You are radiant with beauty so go show the world!

Maybe Try something not too outstanding, some girly pants/skirt/dress with a hoodie jacket and some flats such as converse/vans :) you'll feel comfy
If you're afraid of showing your legs go for tights underneath

Honestly I think the small things make the biggest difference, like, painting nails, wearing subtle jewellery, making an effort with your hair, accessorising a bit, etc.

Try maxi skirts and dresses! I have the biggest, manly calves and thighs so I wear maxi skirts and dresses. They cover my whole legs, but they still look super girly and put together. Not to mention they are like the most comfortable thing ever.

Try grunge or boho looks that focus on leather accents. It leaves a bad ass sort of feel but is balanced enough with the femininity of the skirts and heels if you choose to do so.
