How to know ones skin undertone?

I always see gurus say "if you have a warm undertone" or cool. I don't know how to tell what mine is? What are tips to notice? Or is it an obvious thing? 😁

For me, it took a lot of foundation trial and error to figure out my undertone. First I looked at all the general rules of undertone (silver vs gold jewelry, vein color, etc), and thought I was cool toned. Then the cool toned foundation I bought was wayyy too cool, so I got a warm toned one. Turns out, I'm pretty neutral leaning cool, so any foundation that leans too far either way looks kinda crazy on me. I'd suggest, if you have funds to, getting 3 different L'Oreal True Match foundations. They make them and label them in warm, neutral, and cool, so get the same shade in all three undertone, and just try them out and see what blends better into your undertone.
