Adding Long Lasting Volume to Fine Hair

Hi guys, I'm no hair expert so I was wondering if anyone had any product/styling advice for adding volume to my flat & fine hair? (mid length). I normally blow dry with GHD volumiser serum but after a couple of hours I'm back to square one. Back combing is so aggressive & clip in extensions get on my nerves! Any ideas? xxx
