Right now I apply my liquid foundation (L'Oreal True Match) with my fingertip. It works pretty well. But would having a brush make it easier/ look better?
What are some good inexpensive brush sets?

I feel like foundation brushes are kinda like that pair of shoes you love, it varies from person to person. I dislike the beauty blender and think it's a waste of money but a lot of girls love it. My HG foundation brush is the Tarte Bamboo Airbrush Foundation Brush, love it to bits over the beauty blender I bought.

For me it makes a difference... I don't have oily skin amd fingertips make me greasy. I like the beauty blender but I like my sephora airbrush foundation brush too.

I find it depends on the consistency of the foundation. Creamy foundations work best fingers as it heats the product up well. This creating an easier application. However in regards to the true match I find a foundation brush applies it better. Particularly the 187 by mac. It's such a runny foundation that a stippling brush can apply and buff the foundation into the skin for a natural finish.

You can use a brush or sponge. I personally love latex-free sponges that are a bit damp. Brushes are good if you want to buff the foundation out and want a more airbrushed look.

Yeah like most of the others said, it's definitely personal preference. I love the warmth of fingertips for blending, but I do think brushes make the jobs easier. I also love sponges.
