Blow dryers how important are they?

Does the type of blow dryer you have important and make your hair healthier? Or are they basically the same.

The only difference between them are the settings I feel like - the higher end have more settings and accessories like a diffuser n things like that for different styling techniques but heat is heat and it will damage your hair unless you use protecting products to prevent it like a heat protecting spray and a sealant to add back moisture after heat.
