Hey beautiful ladies!
so in about a month, I'm travelling with hubs and kids to Saudi Arabia. our families live there so we will be there for about a month.
when it comes to makeup and beauty items I'm an overpacker. last year when I went to Pakistan for my sisters wedding I honestly took most of my makeup I think a lot of my skincare and beauty stuff too. my excuse was the wedding but a lot of it didn't get used.
what would be your absolute essentials for traveling to stay with family for a month? it will be mostly low key I'm thinking, maybe a few small get-togethers with the family...
also what would you carry on and what would you check in? it'll be a 12+ hr flight, maybe a layover or too...traveling with a 4 y/o and a 3 y/o...
I'm curious about your travel essentials, I love these kind of posts :) can't wait to hear what you guys absolutely can't leave behind when you go out of town!
p.s. lol sorry for the long post >.<

Oh also would love suggestions for reasonably priced makeup bags, both the kind you keep in your carry on bag as well as a bigger one.

I'm going on a 5 week study abroad trip this summer and have been thinking about this too:)
Right now, I'm planning on taking a bb cream, powder, eyeliner, and mascara. And lip balm of course.
I want to take all my eyeshadows and some lipsticks but I'm trying to minimize lol and I don't even know how much time I'll have to spend doing my make up and stuff.
I'll probably take all my hair products and straightener lol

When we go to my motherN laws house. I usually take my brow stuff, a good eye liner, mascara, chap stick, a nude lip liner and lipstick and a poreless primer. I usually don't take foundation. As far as skin care I take just face wash. but since youll be there a month take all your skin care items in my opinion.

Oh forgot primer and probably blush. I feel like I'm not minimizing very well 🙈

Any recommendations for a good drugstore bb cream for combination skin? here in Canada, I can get away with using foundation most days. but Saudi Arabia is HOT all year round. like extreme 40 degree Celsius everyday. I feel like foundation would suffocate me lol. most indoor places are air conditioned and there probably won't be much hanging out outdoors but I think I would still be more comfortable with a bb cream...

I don't use heat tools so one less thing to pack but I do have like hair serum and root lift spray...
I can't decide what to do about my skin care...most of it (cleanser, exfoliator, mask, moisturizer) is body shop which is also available there...can't decide whether to stock up here and take there or take what I have from here and buy there when necessary...Maybe I'll compare prices to see which is cheaper?

Hmm...I haven't see neutrogena in my Walmart...I'll check the proper drugstore (shoppers drug mart)...hopefully they have it. my area Walmart beauty section is woefully understocked. its a mess.

I was wondering about that too. I'm probably going to take as much as I think I'll need. Because I have no idea what they have in Peru lol.

You need your cleanser and moisturizer the most.
Take some sunscreen if you use one as your skin care. Exfoliators and masks are just extras and who knows what interesting exfoliators or masks you may come across there!

That's true Kitty. Might as well experience some of their beauty products while I'm there!😊

Yes! sunscreen. I hardly used to wear that before but I'm starting to get into it. any bb creams that have good spf? as much as I love makeup I'm lazy with it unless it's full on glam looks for parties and such. would love to minimize the number of steps in my daily routine while on vacation lol.
