Well I tried to find one at my local drug stores but everywhere I went they only had face primer...now could I've used that or no?

You could use one for your face, but I find eye primers to be a bit thicker which helps my shadow stay. Smashbox has a really good one but a bit pricey. Essence has one I believe, I live in Canada Shoppers drug market carries that brand here.

Yes I'm sure it works just as well. Just because the label it for the face, doesn't mean u can't use it for your eyes! Your eyes are on your face. So I would try it first to see if it works.

Essence, Revlon, Catrice, and Soap & Glory are drugstore brands that carry eye primers, but I live in Europe so I don't know if you get all these brands where you are. Higher end brands that have great ones are Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion. You can order them online and probably find them in department stores?
I recommend Too Faced Shadow Insurance, I reviewed it on my blog http://thesleepyjellyfish.blogspot.ie/2012/10/review-with-look-too-faced-shadow.html. It's really good!

studio secrets primer in the jar works ok on eyes. Maybelline superstay 24 hour concealer makes a great eye primer. It's almost as good as UDPP in eden.

I like the Mary Kay primer, but I have nothing to compare it to really.. it's the only actual eye primer that I've used, and I only used it because I was selling Mary Kay at the time. I normally just use my face primer and it's always worked fine for me.

Actually before I got my eye primer I used my face primer for my eyes. I'm an allstar cheerleader and honestly it worked amazing and lasted all competition.

they don't sell many at drugstores oddly, but if you have a sally beauty supply near you Sheena is right Palladio is a great one to try. it works just as well as Urban Decay primer potion. if you can find ELF by you their primer is only $1. you could use face primer but it may not work as well if your lids are really oily. you may want to buy online or see if you can get to a Sephora for more selection of brands some higher end ones I use are: tarte, urban decay, too faced, lorac etc
