Its a flow of colors in a horizontal slope.Any color works. the pic ^ above looks like a closed banana style. Here is a gradient.

The difference is that a banana cut has a sharp line like the pic you posted do you see the curve sharp line above the crease and continues to connect to bottom? and the gradient is a mixer of Colors not just 3 colors on the lid (but can if wanted), look at the horizontal slope form from upper corner to inner corner she has 5 different colors going with the gradient flow and there is No cut involved the shadow melts to the skin in a wonderful transition from color to color. To any person all these looks may look similar but to other's that work in the field we can tell off the bat what is what so we try are best to explain all of it and try to make other's see from our eyes :)

Your welcome..It's closed Banana when it connects to the liner and as for inner corner banana cut can be either or in the corner sometimes it has a extreme curve it's different from a cut crease which leaves a space open on out corner. Myself & Jackie actually informed a lot of the BL user here of all the different shadow styles about a year & half ago on threads and till this day it stuck with some and spread like wild fire :) hence why gradient & smokey eye is the only one some still connect too versus all the other one's we've have mentioned as well as the correct picture's lol
