If you're face is red - use a very sheer layer of foundation that's a bit dark under a tone correcting primer then the matching foundation. Covers the red better than anything on it's own.

Hmm..
Well, since my foundation was too dark for me ( off one or two shades ) instead of using it all over my face I contoured with it. Applied it in the darker areas and my highlight from my cream concealer and no one ever knew, lol.

Use your fingers instead of a brush if your skin is flakey. Brushes can rile up more flakes. You can also apply a sheer dusting of powder BEFORE applying foundation to give your makeup more staying power.

I like to start in the center of my face and work outwards when applying since the sides don't ever need as much coverage as the center of my face.

***apply in strokes in downward direction so any flaws are covered such a a little fine peach fuzz. I like liquid foundation because able to cover more with it. I know it's not for everyone...

I have some dark spots on my cheeks , I pat my concealer on them and then I don't have to use as much foundation as before to cover my blemishes 👌

Tips:
-make it tinted moisturizer with two parts moisturizer and one part foundation
-don't put foundation under the eyes, it will cause creasage (yes I went there lol) use concealer made for under eyes

Apply liquid foundation with a damp beauty blender and then set foundation with a fluffy kabuki brush and some translucent finishing powder (:

I have really bad acne and before I put my foundation on I cover blemishes with glamoflauge by hard candy with a beauty blender, then apply my foundation and literally you can't see a thing! Also the beauty blender is amazing for like everything lol.

Hmmm that's a tough one :) I'd have to say using milk of magnesia for oil and sweat
