You mean you want to lighten your hair? If you have dark hair and want to achieve that blonde, you should go to a salon.

All everyone ever does is suggest a salon. People would not be asking for advice if they planned on going to a salon.

I actually just lightened my brown hair up about a month ago... I had to use a 30 and 40 vol developer that I got at sally's, my hair is stubborn and likes to stay in the orange stage. it may take more than one time to lighten it up that's why I said I used both volumes of developer since I used them at different times. I used the kaleidocolors by clairol, but I would recommend using a powder bleach that doesn't require heat (the kaleidocolors requires heat)... for developer I used the clairol with soy white cream developers! when it was finally as light as I wanted it I used the wella color charm in light ash blonde to get rid of the orange and brassy tones and I only left it on for about ten minutes! check out ellebangs on youtube, she has great tips and is a stylist!! :)
