How to find the right foundation?

I feel like I couldn't find a foundation in my skintone :/ I try the foundation in my face before I buy it and so on but when I use it at home it always looks like it is not the exactly color especially on pictures (mostly it looks to dark). So how can I find the right color/foundation for my skintone?

Go to somewhere like mac - they helped me get the one that's the right colour for me
