did you let.your design dry a little before adding the top.coat? when you start depositing alot of polish on your nails.if you dont let it set a bit it will get messy

Dip your nails in iced water before applying the top coat. It helps them set better :)

Your nails can take up to an hour to dry , if there is a build up of polish it can take longer, the idea of cold water should work but may only quick dry the top layer of polish so be careful to not do anything to harsh with your nails :)

I like the idea of an electric heater. its always worked out for me when drying my nails :) just don't let your nails get to close cause they will bubble :)

let them dry for 2 hours. seems excessive but you gotta.

Let them dry fully first then put on the top coat! Stay with the opi and just wait for each layer to dry as you go along! Then it shouldn't! If it keeps doing it then try different base and top to see how it differs! Xoxo

I'm sorry but I really loathe the opi top coat, I bought a topcoat for a fraction of the price and I love it a million times more than the opi topcoat.

There's more than one opi topcoat, some are better than others.

Let it dry first though!

also if youre using a 3free polish (most new OPI poishes are, old ones arent) or essie or whatever butter blah blah then top with a normal topcoator vice versa the different layers are gonna have different drying times thus will smudge easier

Use Seche Vite, I swear by that top coat ANSI normally do my nails before I go to bed and I never wake up with sheet streaks

Ice water will definitely help dry the top layer but any friction on the nail will cause smudging. Apply polish in thin layers and try to let dry a few minutes between layers, and at least a couple minutes before applying the top coat.

Wait for it to dry about halfway then use topcoat

Or soak your nails in icy water for a minute then put topcoat
