Makeup tips for dark skin?

This is kind of a weird situation, but do any of you have any tips for applying makeup on women of color? I'm no makeup expert and I only really know what works for my dry Asian skin, but my friend asked me to do her makeup for a wedding on Sunday. She's just bringing foundation, which is the only thing she typically wears, and most of my products are pretty neutral colors. She has oily skin and wants something natural looking, not too shimmery.

Anyway if anyone has any tips or product recommendations, that would be super helpful! Also, does anyone know if The Balm's Mary Loumanizer and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil (original shade) work well on dark skin or are they too light?

I would check out Jordan liberty's YouTube channel.
Especially this video, http://youtu.be/9gfMnUIV0CM but he has a ton of tutorials on models with darker skin tones.

Ohh thanks! The orange based corrector and taupe eyeshadow are good tips.
