If you have oily hair, you definitely have oily scalp like me. To help your scalp to rest and stop trying to moisturize itself, you have to let it know that there is already moisture. So, not putting any moisturizing agents on your scalp will in fact make it even more oily in the long term. What I mean by that is, you need to actually moisturize your scalp for it to stop being oily. Its a weird concept but try massaging oil into your scalp with small circular motions when your hair is clean. Some oils you should use are coconut oil, almond oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil and maracuja (passion fruit) oil. The first time you do this, you will notice your hair is more oily. However, don't be discouraged because you have to repeat this over and over again on a consistent basis for your scalp to get used to it, and for it to actually work. This will balance out the amount of oil produced from your oil glands and nourish your hair to make it stronger, longer (yes doing this makes your hair longer! :D), and will add a healthy shine/glow to your hair! :) I hope you try this.

Spray hair spray into your roots n it will dry it out more. Making it easier to not wash your hair all the time. I suggest brushing it in.

Salon brands are usually more concentrated and help clean hair and scalp so it should take a little longer to get oily if you switch check your local salons and ask the stylists.
