Unfortunately the chi that I have does not work all that great. I only straighten my hair once in awhile and I totally dread using my chi because it takes forever. I have to go through a section multiple times in order to get it straight. I do have wavy thin hair, but the drugstore straightener that I had before my chi worked better in my opinion. :(

I have a CHI and been using it for about 4 years now and I use it a lot!! It does miracle on my hair (of course you have to keep you hair healthy or it can be a mess, but that's with any flat iron! )

I've been using Chi's for about 9 years now. They work great and in 9years I have only had to purchase 3 (for professional use) the one I keep at home is about 5 years old and still works the same as when I bought it. I would suggest looking online for cheaper ones. you can find some sites that don't require a professional license for a professional discount.
