So I been using the loreal hicolor hilights in magenta for almost a year now and I have noticed that the ends have become brassy. Now I want to switch to a lighter shade of brown for summer.I dyed it today and the ends went from orange to a darker shade of red and my roots are now a lighter shade of brown.silly me for not using a color stripper! can anyone please give me some advice? I am going to a friends wedding this june. Though ombre is a hot look I'd rather have my hair in one shade.😪😪😪 the hubz said it looked ok but we are going to a formal event and I just want to look my best. 😢😢😢

Stop damaging your hair like that Hun, you should nourish your hair a lot by deep conditioning, night coconut oil mask etc.etc... Do that for a month and go to a professional to have your hair color done.

I agree with Nadia. Try to nourish it as much as you can and go to a professional

I doubt her hair is damaged from this. while conditioning treatments are always a good thing, its not going to fix the color. Ayen, it would be a project and a half for you to do tackle this on your own. your ends would need to be lifted, but wwith fresh color on them its going to be hard. some hilites would be ideal just to break up the dark red ends aand avoid damage. I would go to a pro for this one.

Without a pic it's hard to tell. Sounds like color correction. I also agree with visiting a stylist.

Nope,my hair has not been damaged.it has actually been healthy if not better in recent years! I always buy my stuff at sally's.I did go to a professional but she bleached my hair to achieve the red haircolor I wanted. It made my hair dry and looking vy dull! That was a $200 cut & color wasted. So after doing a lot of research I came across the loreal intense hicolor and decided to try it myself. It left my hair to a beautiful shocking red that I've always wanted and my hair was soft,I do have someone cut my hair every 2 mons for split ends and she would always tell me that I have healthy hair! Now my problem is just the haircolor.I want to change it from red to a normal shade of brown. But I honestly don't want to have it treated in a salon and end up paying $200 for something thatdoes not work.I've seen youtube vids about the colorfix one, maye I should give it a shot.thank you though for the advise!
