Hey girls, I sorta gave up on it already but decided to try and give it a last chance before I do..
So because of my religion I can only wear skirts that pass my knees, they can't be too tight, and shirts that cover my elbows &reach my collarbone.. So I love fashion and would love to dress stylish, but I always just wear a jeans skirt and a plain shirt with sandals.. Or combat boots..
If any of you could help by sending pics of things that would look good that'd be really helpful and I'll love you forever😜 thank you!! ❤️

^ I was going to ask the same thing, well I was going to ask what religion are you. I think you're talking about Muslims with their hijab?

I love those posted pics! Very cute and inspiring!

Lol I'd try looking for a variety of maxi dresses/skirts and long sleeve shirts/sweaters at forever21. If you look under those 2 categories, I'm sure you'll find something cute.

Does your religion prohibit pants/certain shoes?

Also, not saying that this is the OP's religion, but regarding the comments on not understanding such religious rules above, I have a friend who is Pentecostal (a sect of Christianity), and she did not cut her hair and had to wear knee-length or longer skirts. Her religious reason for it was that they believed that feminine beauty was a gift from God, and that the way to honour and worship God was to be respectful of the feminine body by not altering it (no tattoos or cutting hair), and not displaying the body to be leered at by pervs (the strict clothing rule). Hope that clears up your confusion for the motives of such a rule :D

I love Rikkis outfits she posted 😍
And there are several different religions that have a certain way that they dress. My friend is simply a southern baptist and she dresses like that.

And I worked with a girl who dressed like that because she wanted to herself. She was a nondenominational Christian.

I think the biggest thing is accessories. a basic black maxi dress can take on so many styles with the right accessories. also, midi and maxi skirts and dresses are really in right now so stock up! haha :) try asos and h&m. also look for different silhouettes. I grew up in the church and had a lot of friends who only wore the denim and khaki skirts you're talking about! :) they kind of just fall straight down and don't have a lot of movement. but maybe some of these looks will inspire you. :)

Warm colors, gold bangles, and a longer skirt for that vanessa hudgens look.

Same as above. jackets and sweaters can help make a more revealing dress more modest :)

While Tal may welcome the questions regarding her beliefs, I find it odd that I've never seen similar questions addressed toward women wearing head scarves or other religion-based garments. The *manner* in which your question was posed, Olivia, strikes me as off-putting and intensely personal. While you state you have no intention to offend, you continue on by doing little more than trivializing her beliefs with your follow up statement implying clothing has nothing to do with religion. Clearly it does and Tal stated so in her initial post. One cannot help but feel your question was either rhetorical in nature or poised for rebuttal.

Rikki and Cydney, wonderful photos!

I am really digging these outfits. I'm all for "sky's out, thighs out" but these photos make me want to cover up a bit!

I'm sorry if I'm putting words in your mouth Olivia and feel free to correct me if I made the wrong assumption but Rosberry I really think she didn't mean to cause offense, I think she just wanted to learn about Tal's faith as she did not understand it. :)
Anyway these skirts may be too tight, but midi's and maxi's are in like the other girls said :)
