I was just curious, how many of you pay for manicures and pedicures on a regular basis, and how many of you prefer to do it yourself? Also, do you prefer your natural nails, or gels/acrylics? I'm a natural/DIY girl myself.

DIY natural nails all the way! I usually go to a salon for a pedicure a few times a summer. But do my toes a lot myself too.

I've learned to DIY for my hands. But like the rest for my feet I go to the pros. Lol
Have you tried Jamberry Nails before? They are DIY too. Check them out at BeautyQueen.JamberryNails.com They have SO many designs.

I love DIY! It's so much cheaper and an activity I can do when I'm not doing anything else

I like having nice nails but I don't want to pay a bunch of money for it so I definitely a DIY type. I agree with Tracee too, its something I can do when I otherwise wouldn't be doing abything else.

I splurge on regular manicures all year round and pedis in the warmer months. I only wear shellac so I only have to go in once every 3 weeks which isn't too bad!

Usually, I do them myself but they're not as pleasant looking haha. However, DIY's are much more fun and cheaper.

I love getting acrylics! For times when going to the salon is too much, I bought the SensatioNAIL gel nail kit by Nailene, I love it! They turn out just as nice as a manicure at the salon! :)

Professional b/c I can only do regular manicures. If I try to do a design I also mess up and frustrate myself

I just got my nails did today and honestly- disappointed. I love having creative freedom of doing them myself. Layering colors and if it looks crappy-I can change it up right then and there. Pedicures though- I loooove pedicures. But mostly for foot soaks, massage chairs, and the leg rubs. ;)
