I go bb cream in the summer foundation just feels too heavy for me personally but powder always feels lighter than liquid tho.

I go with tinted moisturizers for the summer. My holy grail is Nars pure radiant tinted moisturizer.

Powder just seems it could go wrong quickly. You start to sweat. The powder starts breaking up and caking up... Not a pretty sight.
I would say liquid with an HD powder (Jacqueline h says it absorbs oil) or a finishing spray (she also said finishing sprays are what make makeup waterproof and are not to be confused with setting or refreshing spray.) MAC fix+ is NOT a finishing spray

These foundations are great for oily skin,
Estee Lauder Double Wear
KVD Lock It Tattoo
MUFE Matte Velvet +
NARS Sheer Matte
I would also invest in a good primer & setting/finishing spray to keep makeup in place. I personally use Too Faced Primed & Poreless, & Urban Decay All Nighter spray c:

Oily skin tends to look good and stay matte with a powder foundation.

Definitely go with a Longwear liquid foundation. Powders will fade and begin to feel thick once you get oily or sweat. I have oily skin and don't use powder foundation anymore, it would cake up really bad once my oils surfaced and mixed with the powder.

Oh no not powder!! I live in FL plus have oily combo skin. I just use a bb cream in t-zone and blend out so my skin only has product in the critical zones ( I like a less is more approach). Sometimes I just go without and just do as Traci suggested.
