I really want to get white hair please help.

It takes a lot of bleaching. Definitely something you can't get right away.

It's more of a pale ashy blonde not white. Too dingy

Because bleach is really harsh you can only do it and then wait a few weeks and do it again. You repeat this till you get the look you want.

You may need to tone it until it's white and continue using purple shampoo. I would probably tone it every 3 wks or so.

I do but it turns darker like an ugly grey :(

That's the thing. You need to use a proper toner with an ashy based Like Wella T118 hair color from Sally's. (I did this before)
