For you oilyer skinned girls that love the loreal true match foundation, I was wondering how you guys wear it. yesterday I tried it out for the first time and I liked the finish of it and everything but all I did was stay home all day and I needed started to look a little greasy every few hours. I used a primer, powder, and setting spray like I usually do, but it didn't seem to hold up like the Revlon colorstay foundation I use everyday.

What I've learned to do is get a powder puff and heavily pat on translucent powder (I use cornstarch) to where my face has just a bunch of powder. Leave it on for a few minutes and then get a brush to brush off the excess powder. Just using a powder brush will only slightly thicken the foundation from a liquid to a slight cream consistency. Patting on the powder and leaving it on for a couple of minutes really absorbs any excess moisture. I've been doing this for awhile and haven't had any problems with foundation having me look and oil slick within an hour and I don't need primer.

I have a love/hate relationship with this foundation. It MUST be set with a powder. I haven't tried the true matched pressed powders. I use a translucent powder to set it.

I use Becca Evermatte primer from sephora.
Also I apply True Match with a beautyblender and set with MUFE Duo Mat powder :) but any powder is fine. It's not a foundation I use to keep me matte for a crazy amount of hours but I don't always like a matte finish. I like a natural (satin) finish sometimes and this foundation does that for me :)

I use Urban Decay de-slick setting spray over this foundation, and it keeps it matte if you powder *after* spraying the de-slick.

I have it but it's too dark. Has a nice finish but the staying power is horrible
