If you'd like to turn it into a career your best bet is school. It may be a bit pricey but all schooling is really. And you're going to have to get a license eventually to do the makeup so might as well start with school. You'll learn he basics and whatever tips and tricks your school will teach you and you end up with a license. Then you could maybe get a mentor and study under them or be free lance for a bit and do fashion shows to see some of the crazy things going on behind the scenes. (it's pretty interesting. I know. I'm a runway model and I attend beauty school.)

If you wanted you could start a mini business of doing your friends makeup for dances or dates or whatnot for like twenty dollars per person. See where that goes. There's a bunch of things you can do!

But remember to be extremely clean! No double dipping! And don't forget the license.

A lot of the beauty gurus on YouTube don't have their license. That's because they aren't makeup artists. They just love makeup like we do and have huge collections. They do their own makeup and tell us what they do and don't like. But most of them aren't actual makeup artists. They're just spokesmen.
