Horribly dry skin! help!

Ok so my skin is naturally very dry and it is almost impossible to cover it with foundation. I have tried tons of good moisturizers but none of them have given me a lasting effect. My skin gets dry in little patches. Mostly on my cheeks near my nose. I scrub my face daily and use a walnut scrubby on my face, rubbing it till its red and raw then coating lotion on my face but nothing works. I use high end makeup, the foundation I am currently using I love (Kat Von D) is perfect but you can still see the patches. Please help me! What is your favorite moisturizer for your dry or patchy skin?!

I had the same problem for the longest time. So now I use the Bare Minerals Purely Daily Skin Renewing Trio - Normal to Dry SkinDaily and Normal to Dryand Active Cell Renewal Night Serum. It worked within 3 weeks for me and I don't have any dry patches anymore. Here are the links:
