I've never really needed it because I just have worn eyeliner every day for the last four years and can now do it without a mirror hahaha but the easiest way to ease into it is an analged brush that's already a set straight line! The only concern I'd have about using a spoon is how round it may turn out which isn't always flattering. Doesn't hurt to try though!

Yeah essentially the same thing! The shape and flexibility makes it easier for eyeliner application
