Yeah I'd definitely call it a Smokey eye from what I can see. x

I think the eyeshadow would classify as a smokey eye but I've heard Hannah say before that you can't have a smokey eye with winged liner because a smokey eye has no harsh lines. looks pretty tho!:)

Ok that's good to know. because yesterday I commented on a smokey eye post and put up a pic and my comment said "here's my smokey eye look today" I then looked at the same post later on that day and my comment had been changed to "here's my dramatic (but not smokey) look. I thought I was going mad at first but I then realised I'm not. x

I agree with Jac H. I used the MAC 217 brush and it blended and smudged so well.

I say if you say it's a smokey eye, it is. Regardless of technical terms, it's your interpretation and that's that. Technical terms just make everything boring and limits creativity.

^^^^^ Allie I disagree. As a makeup artist you need to know all the technical names for the client. You can't give a client a smokey eye when they ask for a gradient or cut crease.
Belinda asked a question "is this a smokey eye?" Not is my interpretation of a smokey eye close enough?
I mean no harm with me saying this. I don't want you to take it the wrong way.

I understand that and in that sense yes, it is important to know the difference. But in all honesty it is very smokey she just decided to throw in a wing which is just personal preference.
If my client says give me a smokey eye with a fierce stab you if you get too close wing, I'm not going to say, "Sorry I can't because a ~true~ smokey eye doesn't have one."
In my experience, the client could care less about technical things and more about what they what to see on their face.

I completely agree. However, you don't need to say no. Just inform them that a smokey eye doesn't have a wing liner.
I knew a smokey eye doesn't a liner but I needed to add it in coz I can't live without one.
However I don't think Jac mean anything bad by it. She have advice that a lot of people pay for x

Literally the best. I'm glad it only cost £18 in England. I feel like buying makeup brushes aboard would cost me an arm and a leg xx
