I say go for it! Not to short though. I think layers are supposed to give it more body and shape. But your hair already looks great too!

I wouldn't recommend getting layers.. I layered my hair a while back like last year and they are such a hassle I hate them. If I want to curl or straighten my hair I have to section it off in like three parts to get all the layeres it takes so long and so much work to do somthing that won't last long. I would leave it as it. You have beautiful hair!!

Maybe a trim? If you have dead hair than you have to cut it but if you don't than just trim it.
