Opinions on Gel Nails??

I love them because they are quite long lasting and keep nails shiny for a super long time. They don't chip and look fabulous when done well. They definitely do cause damage, but I would say a bit less than acrylics. If you just use a nail strengthener or stay away from polish for a while after you get the gel off, you will be fine.

They look great and everything but they make you nail really weak.

So, I was supposed to get gel nails today but I put it off because I just wanted to know how everyone felt about them and I know they are supposed to be slightly harmful to the nails but I also wanted to knlw has anyone had them before?
