Lip liner.. How do you feel.

I've always heard lip liner is a must with every lipstick.. I often don't use it what do you guys think? Is it that important? What are some benefits? Thanks ahead of time!

I've never used it and my lipstick stays on well! I think it depends more on lipstick quality. Other than that I'm not sure, but why use more product than you have to? I could be wrong :)

Personally I feel it is very important. I wear lipliner every time I wear lipstick, just because I feel it keeps it more defined and polished looking... But that's just me.:))))) Have a marvelous day!:)))

Thanks MaKenzie! I'm going to try it with and without and see how it goes with long periods of time; for red however I always use it! I guess because of bleeding

I never really use it, mainly because I have no money to buy all sorts of colours lol. I really want to invest in a good nude lipliner colour, in my opinion getting a nude colour is worth it because you can pair it with many different coloured lipsticks. I also believe in depends on the lipstick quality. For example my Clinique red lipstick and my Mac lipsticks I never use a lipliner and they stay on for hours without fading.

I use it but it really depends on the lipstick/color of it thag determines if ill use one or not. I never use it for the longer lasting effect because I use lip primers and don't have s problem but I do use them for a sharper look or to prevent bleeding with certain lipsticks.

If you live in Canada there's a clear lip liner at Shopper Drug Mart for pretty cheap. Sephora brand also has one. Not sure how well they work I've never tried one but yes it can go with any lipstick to prevent the lipstick from bleeding and feathering.

I don't use it! I just moisturize rely well my lips before lipstick & carefully apply lipstick & it stays on forever!

Liner can help lipstick adhere, prevent feathering, and make colors more opaque and vibrant.

Additionally, you can mix liners and lipsticks to create new colors (e.g. purple liner with pink lipstick = magenta). You can create tons of looks with only a few products!

I have liners in nude, pink, orange, and purple. Combined with red, orange, pink, nude, or purple lipsticks I can create a ton of shades.

If you find that your lipstick lasts fine and doesn't bleed, you can definitely skip liner. It is just another tool in your arsenal. :)

I never use lip liner just because I can never find the right ones I want. I do however use a clear lip liner so my lipstick doesn't feather out. Too Faced has a good one but for a cheaper alternative ELF has one too!

Wow it's shocking to see so many girls skipping lip liner. Literally guys, such a must for me, not only to prevent lipstick from bleeding but it just gives the lips such nice definition. Also a major plus is applying it a certain way that can make your lips appear fuller. 💗 I own a color that matches the natural color of my lips that I absolutely love , so much I'll even wear it with just lip balm. Definitely try it out Samantha 😊 xo

It really depends for me :) Usually I don't wear it if its a sheer lip color, if I'm not going to wear it for an extended period of time, or if I'm lazy I don't wear it. However if its a bold color or if I need it to last through out the day (I'm not a reapplier haha)

I think it depends on the person's lips. Mine are uneven & I always cheat my lipline a bit. So I use it 95% of the time. Some girls have big beautiful, defined lips and don't need it. The only exception I have is that if you're going to wear a "nude" lipstick, it will usually look better with a lipliner no matter what your lips look like.
