I think you should do a tag video about yourself. So your subscribers can get to know you or you can do a natural makeup look too start off easy and work your way up

I think you should do something like your makeup routine. I would love to see that!

I think to star , you should have a good camara, not the best one. natrual lighting or studio lights and also have fun while editing your videos. I love morning make up , get redy with me. & hauls. make them fun also don't take for ever in talking people will get bored, just get to it :) unless you have somthing inportant you wanna talk about.

Introductions shouldn't be more than a minute, I get really annoyed if someone is taking 3-5 minutes to introduce a video and will usually not bother watching the rest. As Jacqlyn said don't be fake. Its very irritating to see everyone on youtube have the same 'personality'. I know you're only starting but please inform your viewers what companys have sent you for free or asked you to review. If I find out someone been giving me an 'opinion' on a product that a companys paid them to do and they haven't been upfront about it I automatically don't trust them with products and most times unsubscribe (I know thats a little dramatic but I feel like they're conning and being sneaky). Be honest about products. I never watch tutorials anymore but I really enjoy hauls, empties, makeup collection (I'm so nosey hahaha) and get ready with me's.
Best of luck, I hope you do well :)

Oh this is so random but with get ready with me's either play music or talk over it but don't do both. It's so annoying when music plays for 2 seconds, then talking, music, talking etc.haha.

You should start off with a popular tag :) I did a What's on My Phone tag, and that definitely has the most views... You should also try the New Beauty Guru tag, and comment on other people's tag videos saying you've done the tag and to check it out :)
Before you start, make sure you have a decent quality camera, since most people don't watch a video in anything less than HD. Play around with sitting in front of a camera and record yourself putting on makeup, until you become comfortable with the camera, learn how to avoid looking at the viewfinder instead of looking into the camera's lens.
Thumbnails are also of major importance. Think about it: would you rather click on a video with a dark thumbnail or one with a well-edited, collaged type thumbnail? (I recommend a site like PicMonkey, or a program like Paint.NET (which is free) for photo editing.)
Lighting is also important, especially if you're doing makeup - people want to SEE what you're doing.
When it comes to gaining subscribers, comment on people's channel with a similar number of subscribers to you, complimenting their channel and asking them about collabing. Use Twitter too, there are many Twitter accounts dedicated to promoting newer YouTubers :)

Anything else, just ask! MissRemiAshten just uploaded a video on starting a youtube channel, it's very helpful x
