Paula's choice products?

Hey beauties I'm looking to change up my routine n incorporate some products from the Paula's choice line I've heard good things through Wayne Goss's blog but want a second opinion - my main concerns are acne and acne scarring - I still have stubborn scars that my vitamin c cream is not working on and I already use a glycolic foaming cleanser to exfoliate once a week - it's not super bad just super annoying - I have combo/oily sensitive skin and I normally stick with natural products but want to give this a shot so any reviews, opinions and/or suggestions regarding which items to purchase from the Paula's choice line would be much appreciated! Hi Diana, also been wanting to try out some PC skin care items (& was going to post about advice). PC has their own YouTube channel you can check out. After watching those & reading other reviews I definitely want to get their 2% bha liquid, hydra light SPF 30 & resist foaming 4% bha. I like the beautypedia section on their website too.

Thnx for the response girl ya I went on their website but I'm always skeptical about the reviews on the company website I always think it's just a marketing scheme to get you to buy their stuff :P but I did make a purchase n bought the clear cleanser, 2% BHA gel, and the concealer n then got samples of some of the more expensive products I wanted to try so we will see how it goes :P.

Hi, Diana T!

I am actually an avid fan of the Paula's Choice products, so I thought I'd put in my two cents. I've been using PC skincare products almost exclusively for the past three years and , personally, I'm thrilled with my results.

If you've been on the website, then I'm sure you've noticed that the complete ingredient lists for each product are posted along with links that give a description of what each ingredient is and does in the product--which I love. They even go one step further and post links to published, peer-reviewed studies that support their claims for the ingredients in their products.

There are a lot of ridiculously expensive products out there that are actually less effective than their drugstore counterparts. It's always great to be able to really understand what you are buying and why it actually works. Also, since the most expensive product in the entire line is only $45, they are completely affordable, which matters a lot to me. I do not have the funds to spend $150 on one jar of single-tasking moisturizer with a fancy label.

Plus, all the products are completely free of fragrance and dyes and are never tested on animals. In fact, the company specifically does not sell their products in countries that make animal testing a requirement (China, for example).

I also love that you can get samples of almost every product in the Paula's Choice line. I really believe in trying products before you buy them. Even though PC is supposed to be specifically formulated to be irritant-free, you can never tell how your skin will react to something until you actually use it a couple of times.

At the moment, my personal skincare routine includes the Skin Balancing cleanser and toner and 1% BHA lotion, all of which I used morning and night. Then, during the day, I follow with the Resist Ultra Light Antioxidant Serum which also has hylauronic acid in it, and the Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense lotion with SPF 30. At night, I alternate between the Resist Retinol Serum and Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer. Once or twice a week, I use the Resist 4% BHA Retexturizing Foam for a little extra exfoliation.

What works out best for you maybe something quite different, but since there are PC products specifically formulated for dry, combination/oily, sensitive, and acne prone skin, there's. a good chance that you'll find something appropriate for your needs. All I can say is that my combination/oily skin has never looked or felt better. I recently went to get my first facial in about five years and the esthetician was so pleased with how healthy my skin looked, she asked me for product recommendations. Count me as a believer.

Also, remember that if something your ordered doesn't work for you, you can contact the PC customer service people and return anything you don't like for a full refund. How awesome is that, right? I've had to do that once with one of their moisturizers. Turns out that I'm a bit sensitive to the avobenzone in their Skin Balancing Ultra Sheer Daily Defense moisturizer. I had no trouble at all getting my money back.
