It's not a setting spray but a finishing spray. You can use it to give your skin a bit of a refresher before and after you apply makeup. That and it can be used to foil (wet) eyeshadows and make the color pop.

What Erin said. Honestly NYX has a dewy finish spray and so does ELF that are the same thing. I bought a fix +, used it, bought the others, and poured them in the MAC bottle such it has such a fine mister and nice bottle.

It's good for days you get a little heavy handed on the powder or just used a powder foundation and it looks too powdery :)
