When are shorts considered to short?

I'm not really a girl who wore shorts. I own three. The first one I got was mid thigh length. The other two ones are new. I feel really self conscious wondering wether my shorts are going to be to short , then be called a "slut". Yet I am very modest. So I was wondering when is it considered to short? Thanks gals. :)

I think that if I.can completely see your butt or they.look like.underwear then they are to short.

If you can't sit down without your buttcheeks pooping out, they are too short. Your butt should not be showing.

Well, too short should be when you stop being comfortable. :) But from other people's point of view, if you can see butt cheek then that isn't the classiest look. Maybe try anywhere from where your hand hits on your thigh to about 4-6 inches above that?

I wear shorts all the time. I don't show my butt though. Usually a three-inch inseam covers everything pretty well, but might be short for you as you are a modest person. Hollister shorts if you've ever seen them are a two-inch inseam. It depends also where you live because where I live EVERYONE wears short shorts even to school so it's really commonplace. However it could be different where you live. I say showing your butt is too short. Bend over in the mirror.

Since everyone's body is a little different, a good rule of thumb is to make sure they cover your butt completely.

I agree with what everyones saying! Pretty much just make sure nothing shows that shouldnt be! Lol.
