I'm looking to get into makeup artistry. I am a certified makeup artist have worked at Mac and sephora. Looking to go freelance in other areas of the beauty industry. Help!! Better to freelance? Or work for a company?

Being your own boss is always ideal. Do you have a look book on hand featuring your work? If you already spent time working at MAC and Sephora dont let fear side-step your dreams. If an opportunity arises with a company use it as a stepping stone to go freelance full-time. I'm not an artist but I know folks who work in the industry and those that freelance seem to be happier folks because they aren't dealing with the "corporate" side of the business. Its all about creating a look and they are thriving.
