Hey beauties, I have naturally dark blonde hair but have been dyeing it deep brown for nearly a decade. Im thinking of going back to the blonde, but do not want to damage my hair. It reaches to my lower back and I don't want to lose too much length. Any advice on how to make the change?

I suggest getting highlights and gradually going lighter and getting more each time you do it. I think that's the healthiest way to do it.

Also, I have very dark eyebrows. Will this make blonde hair look funny? I don't want to worry about coloring them too...

I personally don't think it will look funny as long as you keep the groomed because they will stand out more. But other than that I think they will be fine.

I had black and recently went golden blonde! I went straight from black to blonde but my hair could take it because they were really healthy ! Just a little damage happen but not much ! With the eyebrows you can go light if u want too but if you have light skin it will make you more pale but i also love dark eyebrows with light hair! It emphasizes the features more

I'm in beauty school right now and everyone's hair is different so it really depends on what time of hair you have so I would recommend going to a salon just to talk to someone about it so you don't go straight in and do it and then end up damaging your hair. Because since you do have dark hair you would have to use bleach and that is really damaging. I'm a natural medium brown and I went straight to the lightest blonde in an hour but my hair is very thin and absorbs color very easily so I would defiantly wright down some questions call a locate salon to see if you would be able to talk to someone cause they can't really tell you what is possible without looking at your hair first

iv gone blonde on top i was Red b4 hand which was stubborrn to get out co it was a fashion hair dye.mmthe stargazer ones. they cant be just bleached iut. so i used colour b4 extra strength and bleached twice over a period of a week and conditioned well with aussie 3 min miricle which works wonders after any bleaching or dying and i use prob one of the best purple shampoos on the market and its only £2 to £3! depending on where u go. its called provoke touch of silver its magic. after a few washes it really tones any yellowy brassy shades out and leaves a cooler colour. . my ends were dead b4 i did it so i knew for a fact i needed to loose alot of hair which was shame bcoz i was growing it but the split and dead ends drove me nutty anyway. i had about 7 or 8 inches off and i cant say how much that helped honestly it did wonders for prep to colour. if u dont want to bleach it. theres a box colour out there called lorel preference its a black stylish box the platinum shades have built in brassy toners so u wudnt need to tone it after just use that shampoo i told u about. anyway. one of the shades imparticular lifts ur hair up to 8 shades. i was gonna use that but only went for bleach 1. bcoz of the previous colour and 2 bcoz id never used a box blonde colour and iv been waiting to get my hair bk like this for 5 years so i didnt wanna mess it up. and about the eyebrows. it honestly looks fine normally. look at all the celebs with blonde hair and dark eyebrows. sone ppl just bitch about it for the sake of it. i mean i look fine. aslong as ur eyebrows are nicely plucked and groomed nd is the right shape nd length for ur face then ul be fine to go any colour with ur hair chick. plus its not worth paying to have ur brows lightened xx

My hair is naturally very black but I got it to dark blonde by using box dye and no bleach. I bought light ash blonde and let it process for well over the suggested time. I just kept an eye on it till it was the color I wanted. Other than bleach, no other dye was ever strong enough to lift the color. Your hair will sustain some damage but if you do a deep conditioner and get a regular trim, your hair should be alright.

Color remove it since you have color on top of color on top of color. Then bleach on top of the color remover qqqqq

And then tone with a Demi permanent to desired level. It will drop you at least 4 levels. In six weeks you can start highlighting on top of that.

No matter what, partner with a professional! Try to find a LOreal Professionnel salon and request an ammonia free lightening service as well as an in salon conditioning treatment. This way, your hair maintains its integrity and you will be able to have more color options for years to come:)

I have naturally red hair and went blonde... Expect a lot of upkeep if wanting to go for a full blonde look. I also suggest highlights first... They can be thicker highlights and that will change your look drastically :) Also, using bleach will damage your hair, so try deep conditioning a week before you dye it... Oh, and try morrocan oil after you've bleached it! It's wonderful... To keep color longer, try perfect4platinum by pureology! The best :)

DON'T do it yourself!!! come see a professional stylist with expertise in color correction.
I have done the process for 100s of people.
Expect to be in the salon for quite some time, ie. the last dark brown to blonde I did took 2 hours for initial color correction , then another hour for the actual coloring process then and your and a half for processing, tonner and style for.
you must have a cut on the same day.
a good way to start the process at home is to wash ur hair with a strong anti dandruff (or if it's a base of a 4 now use dish washing detergent) and use a intense moisture treatment as a conditioner.
Loreal have the best color correction products on the market.

I have loads of friends with dark eyebrows! If you don't use bleach you could strip your hair before with 'colourb4' which has no ammonia, and if your hair ends up going a carrot blonde , purple shampoos will get rid of that 😀

It's really best to gradually go blonde. My natural hair color is almost black, and im light blonde now. It looks natural and is healthy. Gradually is the way to go. You'll have less damage and hair loss.

Spritz lemon juice in it and stay in the sun with it in for a while ( this lightens your hair) and wash with John freida sheer blonde go blonder shampoo ( it really works for my cousin)
