Concealer On Acne Helppppp!!

I use maybelline 24hour concealer and it cracks up or looks cakey and bumpy when applied on acne pimples. help!

p.s-I have acne prone skin and don't use new products like primers and moisturizers as they add to the acne I already have.

Any views and tips please-thanks!:)

Use a concealer from a pot or pan. Those apply more even and if you pat it on with your finger or a concealer brush then the blemish will look less noticeable and red. Also maybe apply lemon juice on your acne before you put makeup on. That has always helped when my acne got really bad.

I would say, skip the makeup! Try to be "confident" and dgaf what people think! It's better, just apply moisturiser! Hope it clears up soon x

If not concealer, then just use a face powder! Rimmel's stay matte powder is good :)

I've found that nude by nature powder foundation is excellent when applied to spots. I use it sometimes instead of heavy concealer.

Fatima...I would suggest you start off with a good cleanser to help you get rid of acne like Cetaphil and use a toner right after then apply a moisturizer specifically for acne prone skin like avenno has a good one which actually helps heal n prevent acne... then try a bb cream instead of primer n top it with a lipstick like concealer I think these glide on smoother n won't cake up.

What I do is that I use sulfur soap to help get rid of my acne. It works really well and I only have a few bumps left anymore...uhm... You could try and buy a green concealer. I had one from ultra that worked well and I think it was from MAC... I don't use it anymore though. Use a brush to apply instead of the stick (if that comes in a stick I don't know) a moisturizer and primer should never add to your acne problem!! I have horribly sensitive skin and the new baby skin primer is awesome and so it the primer from pixie that's in the brown tube... I also use an H2O+ moisturizer and it's very good and doesn't break me out! Hope all of that helped. Trust me I know what it's like to have that caky concealer look...

I find that when you use concealer to cover up a bump it just emphasizes it even more. I think it also affects the healing process as well. I actually have two active zits on my face today...they have been hanging out for about two days. I just use Mario Badsecu Drying Cream on them before I apply my foundation. I also make sure I apply the same cream before bedtime and for the most part its been drying them out. But if your deadset on using concealer I would use a treatment concealer from CoverFx because their products contains ingredients made exclusively to treat active acne plus address scarring.
