start doing contests on youtube by reconizeable beauty gurus, ones where other people have to vote for you. start off with a video a lot of people search for. Dont film with a web cam it givea terrible quality & people look for good quality & lighting. also pic a user name people can remeber that have sometbing to do with beauty like macbarbie07 etch

Just do it! That's what I did and as you start making videos they'll improve over time. Start with a video that is popular or even with the holidays approaching I'm sure that'll be searched for a lot. Also don't get discourage if people don't start subscribing right away it takes time for your channel to grow. I hope this helped and if you need anymore advice just let me know. :)

Do people even do makeup contests anymore? That's a legitimate question too. I haven't seen such contests in over a year, which is actually really disappointing because they were so fun to do. Now it's just giveaway this and giveaway that. So boring. And I miss those contests.

As long as the quality is good I don't see why not.

@Rikki I know I really enjoy actually having to work for something. The only places I've seen makeup contests are on Makeupbee or Makeupgeek websites. @Lexie it would be awesome if you brought those back!
