I really like it! For the reasons FrancesMarie stated above I think you should go with the shoes and such from the second pic!

Tori, the best thing you can do to make the sweater look better is to wear jeans instead of leggings, the leggings make it look frumpy. Wear some navy skinny jeans tucked into some brown ankle boots and you will give that sweater a totally different look! :)
