What are your thoughts on tanning? Also does tanning make skin smoother and clear up acne? How do you guys feel about it?

I tan in the tanning bed. It does not clear up acne, thats for sure! It does dry your skin out so if you tan you should apply a lotion right after! I don't recommend it because like @kristiana s. said it increases your chances of getting skin cancer. It can also give you what is called a sunspot, a little brown spot that appears randomly on your skin. I hope this was helpful to you!

I used to tan in tanning beds.. & for me, it did clear up my acne (not forever just what I had that day would dry out) BUT it darkens your acne scars!! If I knew that then, I would never have done it bc now I'm struggling to get rid of them. Plus you don't want to be wrinkly at the age of 30!!!

I use versa spa spray tanning, love it, lasts about a week. It's a very bronze color, I attached a photo

Never use a tanning bed. I talked to my dermatologist(who is a family friend) about this. Using a tanning bed once for less then a 10 minute period increases your chances of skin cancer by 38% .. . even more if you are fair skinned( like me), a natural blonde or redhead

also talk your dermatologist about acne and making you skin smoother.. if that is not an option I have heard good things about red light therapy for acne and acne marks although I personally have no experience with it. some Planet fitness locations have light therapy boots

I think people generally look better with a little bit of a tan, but I have never and will never use a tanning bed. I don't even like laying out in the sun (it takes way too long haha) I would just go with a self tanner with a green tint if you just want to look tan. I use the Tanwise brand and it's awesome

I would definitely advise against tanning beds as they can cause major damage to your skin. I would highly recommend sunless tanning-- not the kind from a drugstore or a machine you stand in though, get a REAL airbrush tan from a professional.

I run a mobile spray tanning business prices range from $40 for an individual session or if you invite your friends the price is lowered to $20 and your tan is free as the host!

The benefits to sunless tanning are endless and the results look natural.

Here's my website if you're in LA or OC:

By far my favorite sunless tanning lotion... Bare essentials faux tan... While applying you can see exactly where your putting it. I highly recommend putting it on after exfoliating put ur hair up gloves on and have at it rub it in like moisturizer. You will look completely dirty but in the morning after your shower everything looks perfectly even, even if you think your going to streak you don't and the level of tan is amazing I'm fair skinned so most tan lotions make me look brassy or straight ommpa loompa but this stuff makes me look like a Greek goddess haha ;) I bought it on amazon for $70 and the size of the bottle has withstood a whole entire year

DO NOT TAN ! It is not worth the cancer risk! I am 24 and fighting melanoma. I never tanned and still got it and not have huge scars all over my body... Doing radiation ... And taking drugs all so that it doesn't KILL ME! A little glow is not worth ur life! I promise.
