A non-comedogenic oil like Jojoba, Rosehip, Argan, Maracuja can help re-hydrate your skin. Mix these with a good moisturizer like Cerave, Aveeno, Clinique, Cetaphil and it should definitely be hydrated. Unfortunately how much water you drink is a myth ( And I truly wish it was real as much as the next person! ) but I do recommend drinking loads of water anyways ♥

I agree with Kitty and you can also try using a hyaluronic acid serum ,hyaluronic acid holds 1000 times its weight in water there is a difference between dehydration.and dryness, dry skin is the amount of moisture on the surface dehydrated skin goes down to the dermis and hyaluronic can penetrate deep enough to actually make a difference

I have my regular moisterizer which is usually fine. But on those days when I get really dry and flaky usually because I'm overdoing the retin a or ahas. I turn to Tarte's Maracuja Oil or Egyptian Magic Cream. I put them over my regular anti-aging cream. The Maracuja oil & Egyptian magic cream are 100% Natural so even if your skin is naturally sensitive or red & inflamed from another product, these products won't sting or irritate your skin. Sometimes I even use the Maracuja Oil as a moisterizing treat when my skin feels tired & dull (it naturally has antioxidents).

Fyi- Sometime I give myself a minor burn from my retin-a & aha use & I dab on the Egyptian Magic for a couple nights & its gone by the 3rd day, due to its natural anti bacterial & healing ingredients.

Exfoliate and wash your face often! As a very dry skin person, this changed my life. Also use a serum before a good quality moisturizer!

Kitty, where did you read that drinking lots of water is a myth? I'm not in any way trying to start an argument, I am just curious. ( I like to know these types of things, sorta like I love knowing going out in the cold isn't what makes people sick :) )

To get a hydrated look on my skin what I do is after I wasb my face I immediately apply my moisturer before the water dries to get a dewy look..it works wonders for me...hope this helps..but drink water like the other ladies suggested:)

Of course we all need to drink water and should ,however you can drink buckets of water and still have dehydrated skin it has to do with your own skins moisture barrier and its capability to keep that moisture in and it also won't help with dry skin that's a skin type and consumption of water won't change it.

Kitty, Nevermind hun. I just thoroughly educated myself on the differences in dry skin vs dehydrated skin. It's all very good stuff to know! Thanks for sparking my interest on that topic :)

Try Lush's Ultrabland. Or Jergens has an old school face cleanser that is similar cream. It's base is beeswax. It saved my DEHYDRATED skin love it.
