Okay so I have stopped wearing as much makeup and now I only wear power occasionally. In attempt to heal my acne scars. the last 2 weeks my face has been a grease pit. Within 3 hours my faves is extremely oily and I have to wash it. My skin is fairly clear and I do wash and moisturise every day. Help please.

Avoid oil based moisturizer and avois washing your face that often! It may seem bad now but over time your face will quite possibly stop producing oil in order to replace what ypu are stripping away.

Try an oil cleanser. It'll trick your skin into thinking it's produced enough oil and get rid of any excess.

Don't over wash your face and use oil-free products.

Also don't use more moisturizer than you need that will make you waaaay greasy especially if you already have oily skin.

I'm confused actually. some say don't use moisturizer on oily face, and some say use to trick it. though I do believe that washing it more than the usual will make it more oily. I have really oily face as well and I've been researching almost anywhere to get rid of it. I found that primers help along with revlon's colorstay foundation for oily skin helps:) not THAT much but at least its doing something:)

I use an oil free cleanser and moisturiser. But I may have to try jojoba oil. Thanks!

Try the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Stay-Matte Hydrator. It helps reduce the size if your pores and hydrate your face while keeping it matte. Wear it under your makeup. (:
