I was wondering if anyone knows any good purple hair dyes that will show up on dark hair without bleaching it.

Tracy is right, you can only achieve purple hair if your hair is light. A dark blonde is almost too dark for purple to hold. If you do decide that you are willing to bleach your hair to go purple, try to get pravana violet! The pigment is so rich and if taken care of properly it will last a long time.

My natural hair color is DARK brown. I had to bleach my hair to achieve purple hair. I recently retouched my color but I have about an inch of roots and the color did not take to them at all. like not even a slight tint. which is fine for me because I'm currently feeling my roots lol

Like everyone said you are going to have to bleach it for purple there really isn't much you can do about it. If you want a bright vibrant purple you're going to need to bleach it to almost a white. If you're going for a more dark purple depending on the color of your hair now you may only need to bleach it one or two levels which is less damaging. Also manic panic is a good brand to try they have a few different shades of purple :)
