So I will be having my graduation picture in a week, and included in the photoshoot is a creative shot. Any suggestions what I should be? Nothing too sexy because 1. University will not approve of it and 2. I am a big girl with low confidence, can't pull it off. I looked through pictures of pin up girls but they're all wearing sleeveless (I dislike showing my flabby arms). Please, I really need your inputs! It would mean a lot to me. :)

Hi Renay! I may have seen this photo whilst browsing; although I do like it, I want something that is really striking. Something that truly makes a statement. Thank you for your suggestion! :)

What about you done up in retro pin-up girl style- victory roll curls, black eyeliner, red lippie, wearing something similar maybe? Maybe instead a fuller skirted dress with a cardigan(my favorite arm flap hider😉). Keep in mind your body positions, have a friend do a few shots of you with your phone to practice. Make sure they shoot you from above- it makes you appear thinner and is more flattering, you can't have a double chin when shot from above :)
But really the biggest issue is your confidence. I know how hard it is, but looking at even your little profile pic, you're stunning! Play up that! Also, I'm going to go out on a limb that you might be blessed in the um chest area? Play that up too.

Personally I would do something like this: do the whole pin-up girl hair and makeup look. Get a nice dress/skirt combo that shows a little cleavage, nothing sleazy, just a flattering amount(that can be whatever you're comfortable with). Put a pretty cardigan over it. Modcloth.com is an awesome site that carries plus sized clothes in lots of retro styles. I would have my picture taken sitting down. Make sure you sit up VERY straight but shoulders down. Try cocking your head to the side. Stuff like that.

@Paulina: I might just do pin up! :)

@Bree: I can envision how I will look like as a pin up girl with your graphic description! Maybe I can make it work. I have been practicing my smile and my pose for days actually. I do not live in the United States but I can get ideas from the website. Thank you so much for taking the time to help and for the confidence boost! You're very beautiful inside and out. :)
