Hey there..
So I've been experiencing some bad acne for the last couple of weeks. I have combination to oily skin.
What do you think about acne.org regimen kit??

I've never heard of it, but I assume it's a website where you put in your skin concerns and answer a bunch of questions, then it gives you a regimen to follow?

I personally don't put much stock in those, and I think that going to a dermatologist who can actually see, feel and treat your skin would benefit you much much more than plugging your information into a website.

The acne.org website is legit for suggestions on products that work well for clearing acne that is not hormonal (so it won't do much for cystic acne) but it basically just suggests a gentle acne cleanser and benzoyl peroxide spot treatments among other helpful tips but I don't think it's necessary to invest in any products they are selling when you can find cheaper drugstore equivalents but that's just my personal opinion.

And I do agree with Hannah as well the best thing you can do is see a dermatologist who can give you expert advice for dealing with your specific skin case.

I agree with the other ladies. A dermatologist is the best route to go usually. I have genetic acne and I waited YEARS to go. I struggled with it on my own hoping that if I found the right products I could fix it on my own. I spent a lot of money and did find a couple products that helped a lot but it still didn't get rid of it nearly as much as I wanted. I still had a face full of breakouts on a daily basis. This January I finally went to the dermatologist and it helped so much. I finally saw results and now have mostly clear skin. It has vastly improved and I am so glad I went. If you do end up going ask them about Aczone and if you can get a sample of it. My derm put me right on it along with a generic version of a retin-a cream and together they work fabulously for me. There was some drying at first but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (definitely invest in moisturizers, you'll need them lol) and it was worth the little bit of discomfort to see some major improvement. I was also on antibiotics by mouth as well but I have been off them for a month or two now and the topical medications are still working great on their own.
