Hello beauties.
I've been doing the olive oil hair treatment for a while now & I notice a slight improvememt on my hair. it looks a bit shinier than before & because I use a lot of heat on my hair, I feel like I should be doing any treatment for my hair. I also prefer DIY hair treatment that I can make myself at home. so if you have any hair treatment suggestions, it would be awesome!
also, should I wet my hair first before applying olive oil or should I apply it on dry hair. since our hair is most fragile when its wet, so it may absorb the oil when its wet. I've been applying it on dry hair all this time & I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong?

Organic unrefined coconut oil, you can use it the same as olive. Really though diy's don't really work that great on me.

Water and oil can not mix, as you may know. So apply the olive oil on dry hair.
I use onion or garlic juice on my roots.
It smells a little but it's worth it and it goes away when you shampoo.

Onions are rich in sulfur so they help hair grouth or prevent hair loss helping the hair follicles.
I use it maybe once a week, though my hair is healthy and thick.
FrancesMarie, the smell on my hair vanishes as soon as I wash my hair.
Onions and garlic are a great anti-aging too. :)

Coconut oil, castor oil work well for me. I tried mayonnaise once but couldn't leave it in long enough to see any effects lol
