Keep your shampoo contained to your roots (when you rinse it will go down all of your hair and get it clean) and only condition the bottom half of your hair (nape of your neck and down) and that will help it be less oily!

Same! My hair is very thin and greases up... Honestly, dry shampoo is my best friend. I have yet to find a shampoo and conditioner that works for me. Instead, on my no wash days OR if I notice I'm getting greasy during the day... I spritz some dry shampoo on the area and brush through! It's simple and I've gotten travel sized bottles to carry around with me.

Good to know! And yes I NEVER put conditioner above the nape of my neck! Any not so pricey, good working shampoo and conditioners?

Thanks! So do you think it would work well enough for oily hair?

I wash every other day and my hair has adapted to that and doesn't get as oily when it doesn't get washed, and if it does get oily I massage baby powered into my roots and that takes care of it.

I have really oily hair too so I use Garnier Pure Clean fortifying shampoo on my roots down to the nape of my neck then I'll use Garnier Sleek & Shine fortifying conditioner.

Garnier pure clean or biolage scalp therapy. Biolage doesn't have any chemicals in it and it works amazing. For the conditioner use the purple biolage bottle and the shampoo should be a blueish color. I use it every day. The fiberstrong kind works well too for damaged hair. Biolage isn't drugstore and can only be found in salons but it is about $32 for a shampoo and conditioner but one bottle lasts me about a year!
